Psa. 34:4 “I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me
from all my fears.” (KJV)
All of us have experienced fear many times in our lives. It is a
natural and normal condition to fallen humanity. It began when
our first parents disobeyed God back in the Garden of Eden. Their
faith was suddenly turned to fear after they fell into sin.
Gen. 3:10 “And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was
afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.”
Now we have to ability in Christ to be set free from fear and to
walk in faith with God! In Psalm 34:4, the Psalmist says, “I sought
the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from ALL of my
fears!” Becoming free from fear begins by seeking the Lord. Seek
His Lordship over your life. See His presence. Seek His favor.
Seek His face. Seek His approval. Seek His mercy. Seek His
grace. Seek HIM in all that He is!
A wonderful by-product of seeking the Lord is that fear cannot
stand and have control over your life in His presence! In His
presence, the Bible says there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). If
we put our trust in God, we can live above the grip of fear. We
can live in faith, trusting in God’s goodness, His love, and His
care for us.
Psa. 56:3 “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.” (KJV)
